SenseTime's 'Digital Sentinel' smart access system integrates multiple functions including mask-wearing detection, body temperature screening, health code verification, vaccination record checks, nucleic acid test result queries, and digital ID authentication. In response to Shanghai's COVID-19 prevention requirements, the system has additionally incorporated antigen test result verification.
Shanghai residents can conveniently complete multi-factor authentication through flexible options such as ID card scanning or mobile code presentation. The contactless, mask-wearing compatible system enables one-touch verification of temperature, health codes ('Suishen Code'), nucleic acid test results, and vaccination status, delivering second-level access control.This solution effectively addresses the challenges faced by digitally underserved populations while overcoming the inefficiencies, inconvenience, illegible handwriting, and lack of records associated with traditional manual verification methods. -
Implementation results
SenseTime's Digital Sentinel access control systems and devices have been deployed at numerous high-traffic public venues across Shanghai, including supermarkets, residential communities, wet markets, government service centers, Changning District Library, Cultural Arts Center, Children's Library, the former site of the Shanghai Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Revolutionary Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall, as well as various community activity centers, civic centers, elderly care facilities, subdistrict comprehensive governance centers, and marriage registration offices.
Additionally, the system is in operation at Shanghai Railway Station, Lingang Industrial Park, Baoshan Fangcang Hospital, and Xuhui District Government. With its flexible verification methods, the Digital Sentinel enables secure and efficient rapid screening while facilitating smooth personnel access. This has significantly improved temperature screening efficiency and verification accuracy, helping to ensure venue safety and support normalized epidemic prevention measures.
